How to Use & Tips

Mastering The Durand® for perfect results

The Durand® is designed to safely and effectively remove older, fragile corks while preserving their integrity. Follow these simple steps to achieve flawless results every time:

1️⃣ Insert the Corkscrew Helix

  • Begin by placing the corkscrew (helix) directly into the center of the cork.
  • Gently twist it downward until ithe horizontal stabilizer bar is resting on the top of the bottle opening and cork.

2️⃣ Position the Two Prongs

  • Take the first prong of the Ah-So-style component and carefully slide it between the cork and the bottle neck.
  • Then, insert the second prong on the opposite side, slowly working them down with a gentle rocking motion until both prongs are fully in place.

3️⃣ Remove the Cork

  • Once both prongs are securely in position, begin twisting The Durand® while pulling upward with steady pressure.
  • The combined grip of the helix and prongs ensures that the cork remains intact during extraction.

4️⃣ Enjoy Your Wine

  • Once removed, carefully release the cork from The Durand® and inspect it.
  • Pour and enjoy your wine without the worry of cork debris.
